Wants (wishlist searches)

Not everything is a flip. Sometimes you just need to buy something — cinderblocks for a project, a specific tool, a part. A Want is a wishlist search for exactly that: it finds the item, but skips the resale scoring.

How wants differ from opportunities

A want search reuses the same sources, keyword, price, and location filters as a normal search, but instead of running the full resale pipeline it does one light relevance check: "is this genuinely the item, decent quality, and legit?" If it passes (and clears your price/free criteria), it shows up on the Wants page — no profit score, because you're not reselling it.

Setting one up

Create a saved search and set its Type to Want. That's the only difference — the rest of the form is the same.

The Wants page & alerts

Matches collect on the Wants page, kept separate from your resale opportunities so the two don't clutter each other. If you've configured Slack alerts, a genuine match also pings you with a link straight to the listing — want alerts have no score threshold; they just need Slack turned on.
